Chicken Fryer Casserole

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 2 2 pound frying chickens
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. worcestershire
  • 2 tbsp. molasses
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cut up chicken, roll pieces in seasoned flour. Brown in hot fat in skillet and place in large casserole dish.

For sauce, saute onion, peppers and mushrooms in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients, plus 2/3 cup water. Bring to slow boil. Pour over chicken in casserole, cover.

Bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
