Ingredients

  • DOUGH:

  • 3

    cups flour

  • 1

    egg

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 2

    tbsp melted butter

  • 3/4

    cup tepid water

  • 1

    tsp vinegar

  • FILLING:

  • 8

    0r 9 apples

  • 6

    tablespoons breadcrumbs, browned in 1/3 cup melted butter

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 1

    tsp cinnamon

  • 1

    stick melted butter

Directions

Sift dry ingredients into bowl, make well and add rest of ingredients. Toss and beat on board 300 times. Cover will bowl and let rest one hour. Butter hands and stretch to paper thin on cloth. Trim edges. Let stand 10 minutes. Peel and slice apples thin, mix with sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle melted butter over entire dough. Spread breadcrumbs and apples on about 1/3 of surface of dough. Roll up and place in a well greased pan. Bake in 350° oven about 1 hour
