Chocolate Icing

Ingredients

  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 2 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1-1/2 c confectioners sugar
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolates and butter. Microwave on med-high 1 minute or until butter melts. let stand 1 minute whisk until chocolate is melted. Let cool slightly.

Sift confectioners sugar, cocoa and salt into chocolate mixture until blended. Add vanilla and milk; beat until combined. With mixer on high setting, beat frosting until smooth.
