Asphodel Bread

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Pioneer Biscuit Mix
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 envelopes yeast
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar

Preparation

Step 1

Sift biscuit mix with sugar & salt. Soften yeast in warm milk. Beat eggs thoroughly withcream of tartar. Combine milk, eggs & pour into dry ingredients. Stir until well mixed. (Will be heavy and sticky. Set aside in warm place covered with damp towel or plastic wrap. When doubled stir down & fill 2 oiled loaf pans 1/2 way. Let double then bake at 350, 25-30 mins. Serve hot.
