Ingredients
- For the marinade:
- 1 Large bag of shrimp (I get at Sams) uncooked, but peeled and deveined with tail on. 18-20 count I believe, the bigger the easier they are to skewer
- 1 large bunch of cilantro chopped
- 3-4 limes juiced
- 1/2 cup olive oil…give or take a little bit…
- 1-2 shots of GOOD tequila, we used cheap stuff the last time, and they didn’t taste as good.
- Coarsely ground black pepper
- Coarse Sea Salt…I use Fleur de Sel…cooking stores usually have or Pink Himalayan Sea Salt works well too, Target has this!

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients for the marinade (except shrimp and salt) Thaw shrimp and when they are thawed put in ziplock bag with marinade…only keep in marinade for about 30-45 minutes…the lime and tequila start to “cook” the shrimp. Then skewer onto metal or water soaked wood skewers. Sprinkle with salt and throw on the grill about 4-5 minutes, turning only once! They are so good, they will be gone in no time!
