Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • Hot Rum Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (18 1/2oz.)pkg. butter recipe golden cake mix
  • 1 (3 3/4 oz.)pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1/2 c. light rum
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. all vegetable cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. light rum
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 c. water

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour a bundt pan or a 10"x 4" tube pan. Sprinkle nuts into the bottom of pan. Place cake and pudding mix in a large mixing bowl. Add rum, water, oil and eggs. Mix for 2 minutes. Pour batter into cakepan and bake for
50 to 60 minute at 325 degrees F. Remove cake from oven and immediately pour on Hot Glaze. Cool cake in pan for 30 minutes and remove to a serving plate.

Place ingredients in a small saucepan and boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Pour over hot cake.
