Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 20 oz can pineapple slices, drained
  • 6 cherries
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Sprinkle brown sugar in bottom of Pineapple upside down cake. Drizzle 1/4 cup melted butter over brown sugar. Place one pineapple slice in each of the holes. Place one cherry in center of each pineapple slice. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Blend on low speed 1 minute scraping bowl often. Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Pour batter over pineapple. Bake 350 for 50-55 minutes.
