Ingredients
- .7 oz. olive oil (1 1/2 Tbl)
- 2.9 oz. Brown sugar (1/3 c)
- .3 Morton salt (1 1/2 tsp)
- 8.3 oz. water (1 1/8 water)
- 12.6 oz whole wheat flour (2 1/2 c.)
- 2.7 oz bread flour (1/2 c.)
- 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
Preparation
Step 1
Add to bread machine pan olive oil, brown sugar, salt, and warm water. (consider using .3 of milk instead of water). Add wheat flour and bread flour to top covering liquid. Spoon in yeast on top of flour.
Use white bread setting on light crust. Loaf won't raise as high as white bread.
Notes: increased the water because original recipe called for honey - i substituted brown sugar.

3 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c. honey
1 T dry milk powder
1 1/2 Tbl shortening
1 1/2 tsp yeast
