Fruit Crisp

Ingredients

  • 5 cups sliced frozen peaches, apples or berries
  • 2 to 4 T. granulated sugar
  • ½ cup regular rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ t. ground nutmeg
  • ¼ t. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ t. vanilla
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Let frozen fruit thaw in a two quart baking dish (do not drain). Stir in granulated sugar. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Cut butter into small pieces and add to dry mixture. Combine until mixture becomes coarse. Sprinkle on top of fruit. Bake in oven until golden brown and tender, 30 to 35 minutes.

Serving suggestion: Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!

Refrigerate leftovers.
