Ingredients
- 1 CUP BUTTER
- 2 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR
- 3 EGGS (SEPARATED)
- 1 CUP BUTTERMILK OR SOUR MILK
- 1 TSP. SODA
- 1/2 TSP LEMON
- 1/2 TSP VANILLA
- 4 CUPS FLOUR
Preparation
Step 1
CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR, ADD WELL BEATEN EGG YOLKS, MILK. (SIFT SODA WITH FLOUR) ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE. ADD THE FLAVORING AND THE WELL BEATEN EGG WHITES LAST. DROP ON GREASED PANS, SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR AND PUT A RAISIN IN THE CENTER OF EACH.
BAKE 350 DEGREES
