Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup swiss cheese (4 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne red pepper
  • 1 pastry shell (Pillsbury prepared pie crust works good)

Preparation

Line quiche pan with pastry.
Microwave bacon until dry and crumbly, break into small pieces and place on pastry.
Beat eggs slightly, beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour into pie plate.

or until knife inserted comes out clean.
Carefully remove from pan.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
