Soup: Lynn's Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp. Chef's Secret seasoning (optional)
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 2 cans dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 large can of whole tomatoes or 2 smaller cans of diced/choopped tomatoes
  • 2 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a skillet, brown hamburger and onion until burger is throughly cooked and no longer pink in the middle.

2. Transfer hamburger and onion to a soup pot.

3. Into soup pot also add: green pepper, beans, tomatoes (cut up), tomato soup, 2 cups water, Chef's Secret and any other spices you choose.

4. Bring to a boil, then turn heat on low.

5. Serve with additions such as: sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, Fritos, saltine crakers or corn bread.
