DARK CHOCOLATE HEART COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 1 / 4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (18.25 ounce package devil's food cake mix
  • 1/2 cup strawberry frosting

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375° F.

Combine margarine and cream cheese in medium bowl, beat until smooth. Beat in melted chocolate and egg.

Add cake mix, beat well.

Roll half of dough to 1/8" thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut with floured 3 inch heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining dough.

Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges are set. Cool 2 minutes, remove from cookie sheets to wire racks to cool completely.

Place frosting in small microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 15 seconds, stir and smooth.

Drizzle frosting over cookies.
