Ingredients

  • 1 Gluten Free Brownie Mix from Bob's Red Mill
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 sticks melted buter
  • 1 bag kraft caramels
  • 1 can evap milk (part goes into the caramels; remainder into the brownies)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

1. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk in a small saucepan, stirring mixture occasionally; set sauce aside.

2. Mix brownies mix, egg, butter, vanilla, remainder of evaporated milk in standing mixer.

3. Grease 9x11 pan and then put 1/2 of brownie mix in pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

4. Remove from oven and pour caramel sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel in an even layer.

5. Top with remaining dough, crumbled into bits and scattered. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and return to the oven. Bake until brownies are puffy and set, 10 to 11 minutes more. Cool completely and cut into squares.
