Bubble-Up Hamburger Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) tube of refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 8 slices Colby Jack cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Spray a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

Cut biscuits in quarters with kitchen shears. Layer them in the casserole dish.

Brown the ground beef. Drain the grease. Add the onion, tomatoes, water, chili powder, and salt. Mix together. Cook for 5 minutes. Add spinach and mix.

Bake for 25 minutes. Layer cheese on top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
