Cranberry Champagne Vinegar and Vinaigrette


Makes a beautiful holiday gift--look for inexpensive bottles at dollar stores, etc.

Dressing is sweet and tart and delicious.

  • For dressing:
  • 1 package fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups white wine vinegar
  • 1 bottle champagne
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • 1/2 t dry mustard
  • 3 T cranberry champagne vinegar
  • 1/2 cup EVOO

Cooking time 8mins


Step 1

For vinegar:

Combine berries. vinegar, and champagne in stainless steel sauce pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for three minutes.

Cool and pour into a 3 quart jar and cover with non-metallic lid.

Let stand 2 weeks in a cool, dark place. Strain and discard berries.

For dressing:

Whisk all ingredients together or shake in jar.
