Ingredients

  • FILLING:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) finely shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill seed
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Set aside 1/2 cup of crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. (Crust will be crumbly.)

Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Yield: 12 servings.
