Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. margarine
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • hot cooked noodles

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt half the margarine. Brown chicken 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan; set aside.

Reduce heat to medium. In same skillet, add remaining margarine, saute mushrooms and onion with garlic until tender and liquid is evaporated, stirring often.

Add soup, milk and pepper to taste. Bring to boil. Return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Serve with noodles.
