Sour Cream Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 1 to 2 cups fresh fruit
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter

Preparation

Step 1

cream butter and sugar to light and fluffy.
Add eggs, soda, nutmeg, sour cream and cake flour.
Stir in fruit.
Fill greased muffin cups.
Combine flour, brown sugar and butter to make topping.
Sprinkle over muffins.
Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.

Substitute teacher were for part of sour cream and add peaches to make peach muffins.
