• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/4 teaspoon soda
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups flour

Step 1

Combine butter and shortening. Add sugar, cocoa, soda and salt. Mix well.

Beat in egg, milk and vanilla. Beat in flour, a little at a time.

Chill dough for 45 minutes.

Bake 375 for 10 minutes.
