Mac N Cheese

A modified version of my grandmother's recipe. Very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 package shells
  • ~ 4 oz. (113 g.)Gruyere
  • ~ 4 oz. (113 g.) Havarti (The real stuff, not the imitation deli stuff)
  • 8 oz. (113 g.) Sharp Cheddar (I prefer Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar)
  • 1 can Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • Cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F/175C.
2. Make the pasta in an oven safe Dutch oven or large pot.
3. While the pasta is boiling, chop the cheese into small cubes.
4. When the pasta is al dente, drain it and return the pasta to the pot (off of heat). Add in the cubed cheese and stir until almost completely melted. (You'll want to keep some gooey bits in there.)
5. Add in the soup and a bit of cream.
6. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
