Heath Brunch Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped Heath English Toffee candy bars (4 1/2 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

Blend the flour, butter and sugars
Take out 1/2 cup of the mixture.
To the rest add the buttermilk, soda, egg adn vanilla.
Blend well
Pour into a greased and floured 10 x 14 x 2 inch cake pan

Topping:
Crush, finely, 3/4 cup Heath Toffee with 1/4 cup pecans or almonds and add to the 1/2 cup mixture. Sprinkle over the top of the batter and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
