Ingredients
- Shortbread:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cake flour
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Topping:
- 1 tbs. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all shortbread ingredients in a large mixer bow. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms (4-6 min.), do not over-mix.
Press dough evenly in bottom of lightly greased 13X9 in. baking pan. Stir together topping ingredients in small bowl; sprinkle over shortbread. Prick all over with a fork. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool slightly on wire rack; cut into squares while still warm.
