Tuna with Vegetable Mayonnaise

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 c diced seeded peeled cucumber
  • 4 Tbsp finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 4 Tbsp mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • Tuna:
  • 4 (6-8 oz) fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning

Grill Directions:

1. Heat grill. In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients; blend well. Refrigerate until serving time.

2. Brush tuna steaks with oil; sprinkle with 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning. When ready to grill, place tuna on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4-6 inches from medium coals. Cook 8-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork, turning once. Serve sauce with tuna.

Broiler Directions:

1. Prepare sauce and tuna steaks as directed above. Place tuna on broiler pan.

2. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 7-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, turning once. Serve sauce with tuna.
