Sweet and Sour Chicken

recipe found off the back of the market pantry bag of frozen boneless skinless chicken breat tenderloins.

Ingredients

  • 8 frozen chicken breast tenderloins
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 2 bell peppers, cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut in wedges
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 (10 to 11.5 oz.) jar sweet & sour sauce
  • hot cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1

1. heat large nonstick skillet over MEDIUM heat. add chicken; cover. cook 5-7 minutes; turn. cook 5-7 minutes longer until chicken is fully cooked. remove chicken; set aside.

2. heat oil in skillet. add bell peppers and onion. cook and stir 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender.

3. add pineapple, water chestnuts, sweet & sour sauce and cooked chicken to skillet. heat 3-4 minutes until thoroughly heated. serve with rice.
