Nan's Mushroom Rice

  • White Rice 4 servings
  • Brown Rice 2 servings
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 1 (7oz) can mushrooms (stems and Pieces) chopped and set aside liquid
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 TBS oil

Step 1

Cook both rices according to package directions. I add 1 tsp vinegar to water to help keep from getting rice sticky
In large skillet add oil and saute onion on med for about 10 min then add mushrooms and continue cooking for another 10-15 min.
Salt and Pepper
Add cooked rice and mix well. Add liquid from mushrooms and Salt and Pepper to taste.
