Candied Nuts

Just had to make and find a recipe for candied nuts. This is a keeper. An easy and quick recipe, make a double recipe!!!!

Ingredients

  • 1

    egg white

  • 1

    tsp vanilla extract

  • 1

    tbsp wa ter

  • 1

    pound (about 3 cups) your choice of nuts, (almonds, pecans or walnut or whatever you like)

  • 3/4

    cup sugar

  • 2

    tsp cinnamon

  • 1-1/2

    tsp vanilla salt or sea salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 250. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl combine and beat till frothy (egg white, vanilla and water) Gently combine in separate bowl (sugar, cinnamon and salt) Add nuts to egg mixture and coat thoroughly. Add sugar mixture to nut mixture and be sure to coat evenly and thoroughly. Spread on prepared pan. Bake 1 (one) hour , stirring every 15 minutes Remove from oven and cool. Store in an airtight container or jar. Will keep up to 2 weeks at room temperature
