Ingredients
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup shortening or butter'
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Melt butterscotch and butter over hot (not boiling) water.
Remove from heat.
Stir in sugar.
Cool 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift together and stir in flour,baking powder and salt. Stir in nuts.
Spread in greased 13x9" pan. Bake at 350 about 25 minutes.
Cut into squares while warm.
Makes approximately two dozen 2" squares.
