Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup carrot, grated
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chicken bouillon cube
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cup water
- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a stock pot and saute onions and carrots until tender. Blend in flour, bouillon mix, paprika and mustard. Gradually stir in milk and water.
Stir constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and add cheese and stir until melted.
Add croutons and serve.
