The easiest recipe for shortbread, ever ! If I can do it, anyone can... enjoy.
- 3/4 cup butter (room temp)
- 1 cup sugar (extra for sprinkling)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Preparation time 40mins
Cooking time 60mins
Preheat 350 degrees - Bake 20 minutes
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until just combined. Add vanilla. Sift flour and salt and add to butter mixture.
Mix on low speed until dough starts to come together. Dump out onto a floured surface and roll into a disc shape.
Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out to ½ inch thickness and cut with cookie cutters doused in flour.
Place onto lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart and return to fridge for another 30 minutes.
Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until edges are slightly brown. Allow to cool and store.
