These date & nut pinwheel cookies are as beautiful as they are delicious!

Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cup brown sugar
- 3 beaten eggs
- 4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Cream the butter and brown sugar; add eggs. Sift together the flour, salt, and soda. Mix the creamed ingredients and sifted ingredients with hand mixer. Divide into 3 rolls; chill.
Cook ingredients for filling 10 minutes; cool. Roll each chilled roll of dough between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Spread with filling. Roll and chill overnight.
Slice and bake on well-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° F for 10 minutes.
