Ingredients
- CRUMBLE:
- 1 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter (softened)
- FILLING:
- 3/4 cup dates (diced)
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Step 1
Preheat 350 degree - Bake 20 to 25 minutes
Mix all ingredients for crumble until combined and press half of the mixture into a 9" square pan. Set aside.
Meanwhile in a saucepan bring to a boil all ingredients for filling. Stir constantly until thickens and no liquid is left. Pour over the crumble mixture in the square pan. Evenly spread the remaining crumble mixture over the dates.
Bake 20 minutes or until top is golden brown. Set aside and cool completely before serving.
