Ingredients

  • 3/4 lbs pork tenderlion diced int bite size pieces
  • 2 Tbls hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbls soy sauce
  • 2 Tbls grated ginger
  • 1 Tbls crushed garlic
  • 1 Tbls canola oil
  • 1 Tbls sesame oil
  • 5 green onions, sliced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 box frozen peas
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice, chilled
  • 1 egg, beaten

Step 1

In a medium bowl toss pork with 1 Tbls hoisin sauce, 1 tsp of soy sauce 1 Tbls of the ginger and 2 tsp of garlic, mix well.
Heat heavy nonstick wok or saute pan with 1/2 tsp of the canola oil. Add the pork wiht the spices and saute until pork is cooked, about 2 minutes. Remove pork, set aside & keep warm.
Add the remaining oil to the pan and heat over medium heat. Add the remaining hoisin and soy sauce, the remaining ginger & garlic, the sesame oil and green onion and cook for about 3 minutes or until crisp and tender. Add the carrots, peas and rice. Continue cooking until warmed through, about 2 minutes. Add mixed egg, stirring to scramble untill well cooked. Add the pork back and toss.
