An old time favourite with your choice of jelly.
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 up warm milk
- Choice of jam or jelly
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 27mins
Preheat 400 degree - Bake 12 minutes
Grease, flour and also grease the paper in a roll cake pan.
Sift together in a small bowl the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Beat until light and fluffy the eggs adding sugar a little at a time and lemon juice. Gently fold in alternating the flour and milk.
Bake 12 minutes or until cake springs back. When baked turn out immediately onto a confectioner sugared tea towel and roll from the short end. Cool completely. Unroll and spread jam or jelly and re-roll.
