Ingredients
- 5 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups fresh corn kernels (about 8 ears)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- Garnish: chopped fresh chives

Step 1
1.In a large skillet, cook bacon until browned and crisp; remove from skillet and set aside, reserving 2 tablespoons bacon grease.Add onion and garlic to skillet; cook over medium heat 5 minutes, or until tender.
2.Stir in flour; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add corn; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add cream; bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat, and simmer 5 to 6 minutes or until corn is tender and cream is thickened. Serve with crumbled bacon. Garnish with chives, if desired.
