Rosettes #1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and sift dry ingredients.

Gradually stir in eggs, milk and oil, beating only until smooth; strain and let stand one hour.

Heat the oil to 360 degrees.

Place the rosette iron into the hot oil, and let it heat up.

Drain excess fat off the iron, and dip into the batter. Go only about 3/4 of the way up the iron, let the batter fry, then remove.

Allow the cookies to dry on a paper towel. Dust with powdered sugar when cool.
