Step 1
Sprinkle: Fill individual pots or flats with with moistened commercial seed starting mix. Sprinkle seeds lightly on soil following directions on seed packet. Sow 1-2 in each cell. Cover with 1/8 inch soil. Press down lightly and spritz surface with water to moisten ad settle seeds.
Cover Up:
Label seeds. Keep moist by covering with plastic wrap or bags. Place in a sunny south facing window. Keep the soil moist by watering from the bottom. Set in a sink filled with 2 inches of water, water till beads of moisture appear on surface of soil. When seedlings reach 2 inch height, transplant to pot or thin existing ones and leave strongest shoot.
