Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sherry
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • Bamboo shoots -drained
  • Water chestnuts - sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Toast walnuts in oil.
Remove and drain.

Cut chicken into strips.
Cook chicken and salt 5-10 minutes.
Add onion, chicken broth, celery.
Cook uncovered 5 minutes.

Combine cornstarch, sugar, soya sauce, sherry, chicken broth.
Pour over vegetables.
Cook until thickened.

Add bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and chicken.
