Ingredients

  • 1 box german sweet chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup oleo
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 60 kraft caramels
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

melt caramels in 1/2 cup evaporated milk

melt butter, add cake mix and 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. spread 1/2 mixture in 9 x 13 pan. bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. while hot, sprinkle with chocolate chips.

pour caramel mixture over chocolate chips. put rest of batter over mixture. bake about 18 minutes. cool and refrigerate for 1 hour.
