  • 1/2 c. white Rice (uncooked)
  • 8 c. Milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • Cinnamon (ground)


Servings 6


Step 1

Gently simmer the rice with 6 cups milk in a heavy saucepan for 20 minutes. Stirring often.

In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar together. Add the beaten eggs, 2 cups milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Slowly add this to the rice mixture and simmer until thickened (about 35 minutes). The rice will rise to the top when it's done.

Cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon and refrigerate.
