Ingredients
- 3 C cubed French bread
- Vegetable cooking spray
- 3/4 C diced lean cooked ham
- 2 T diced sweet red pepper
- 1 C (4 oz) shredded, reduced fat sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 C skim milk
- 3/4 C egg substitute
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- Paprika
- NOTE: 1/2 lb Italian turkey sausage may be substituted for ham. Cook sausage until browned in a nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray.
- Stir it until it crumles. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Yield: 6 servings (269 calories per 3/4 C serving.

Preparation
Step 1
spray baking pan with vegetable spray; spread bread cubes ham and red pepper in pan; then cheese on top of that; Mix egg substitute, milk and seasonings and pour over cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight. Remove from refrigerator; let stand 30 minutes. Bake uncovered at 350 deg for 30 minutes; sprinkle with paprika. Serve immediately.
