Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 1/4 cups chopped celery (you can often purchase pre-chooped onion and celery in the produce department at the holidays)
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (home-made or prepared)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • salt and peper to taste
  • cubed bread (1-2 bags)

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions and celery in butter in large stock pot.

Add broth and bring to boil.

Warm mashed potatoes in microwave if needed.

Add remaining ingredients to stock pot.

Add more broth to make moister, add more cubes to make drier.
