Ingredients

  • royal icing
  • 1 box(1 lb) confectioners sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar

Step 1

make icing. in bowl of electric mixer, combine sugar, egg whites and cream of tartar; at high speed, beat until stiff.

with icing in pastry bag fitted with star tip, cover 14-inch styrofoam tree; while icing is wet, using additional icing if necessary, attach silver and gold-foil wrapped hershey chocolate drops and red and green peanut M&Ms candies to tree.
