This Shadoon dish is an old Italian recipe for a pie with a sweet crust, just like from the old country.
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- Drops of oil
- 1 cup provolone cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese.
- 4 eggs
- Pinch baking powder
Blend flour, eggs and oil. Divide into 3 sections.
In medium bowl mix filling ingredients cheeses, eggs and baking powder. Blend well.
Roll flour sections into thin round sheets.
Place one/third cheese mixture into each crust round and fold bottom of crust to top.
Crimp edges with fork dipped into water. Cut 3 slits into top crust on each pie.
Bake on cookie sheet until lightly browned at 350 degrees fahrenheit.
