Squash and Apple Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds butternut squash
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon mace
  • 2 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut squash in half; remove seeds and fibers
2. Peel; cut into 1/2 inch slices
3. Mix sugar, butter, flour, salt and mace
4. Line ungreased baking pan with squash; top with
apple slices
5. Sprinkle sugar mixture on top
6. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until squash is
tender
