Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 loaf french bread, cut into 1-1/2 - 2" slices
- (Berkots mini loaves are good)
- 6 large eggs
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1-1/2 cups half n half
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg and 1/8+ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c light brown sugar
- 2 TBS dark corn syrup
Preparation
Step 1
Heavily butter large casserole. Fill with bread slices covered to top: mix eggs, milk, vanilla, half n half and spices. Pour over bread. Refrigerate over night.
Mix topping ingreds and spread over bread.
Bake @ 350 - 40 min or until puffed and golden.
Let stand 5 min before serving.
