Ingredients
- Dill Pear Tomatoes
- Gourmet-seasoned appetizer or salad relish. Makes about 6 pints
- 12 cups unripe (green) pear tomatoes*
- 2 cloves of garlic, sliced
- Celery sticks
- Fresh dill sprigs with heads
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup salt

Preparation
Step 1
1 Wash and stem tomatoes; pack into hot clean jars, each with 1 garlic slice, 1 celery stick and 1 dill head.
2 Boil water, vinegar, salt and dill sprigs 5 minutes in large saucepan; remove dill; fill jars; seal.
Let season 4 to 6 weeks to blend seasonings.
*or use tiny green regular tomatoes.
