Ingredients
- 2 cups + 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp lemon extract
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients together and set aside. Beat butter until light and fluffy, beat in the sugar, mi in vanilla, lemon extract and almond extract. Beat in eggs and egg yolk. Stir in the flour mixture to make a soft sticky dough. Place dough in fridge overnight. Next day preheat oven to 325F and lightly grease cookie sheets. Roll out the dough on well-floured surface and cut out your cookies in shapes. Bake for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
