Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked flaked fish
  • 1-1/2 cups fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped pimento
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the baking powder and the crumbs. Stir in the remaining ingredients, adding the milk last. Pack firmly in a greased loaf pan and bake at 375 degrees for 1-1/4 hours.

Serve with white sauce.
