Chocolate Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Melt shortening and chocolate together; cool. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat well. Then add dry ingredients. Let stand in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.

Roll in very small balls (about 1” diameter). Roll each ball in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Do not overbake.
